About Me (In My Own Words)
I suffered from AFib, Mitral valve regurgitation and my Left Anterior Descending artery was 70% clogged.
I had traditional open chest heart surgery on 6JAN and was released from the hospital today. Mitral valve repaired, MAZE procedure for AFib, LAD artery bypass graft and atrial appendage sealed off.
The entire procedure was successful, and I now begin the long road of recovery. I begin in home PT tomorrow, and learn how to manage my life after OHS.
I am thankful to the UPMC system here in Pittsburgh PA, they have assembled a wonderful team.
I’ll give updates going forward when I have more energy!
