About Me (In My Own Words)
I have known about my mitral valve prolapse for 20 years. I visit my cardiologist regularly who has evaluated my Echo cardiograms and EKG results yearly. I was told my valve was borderline severe during my appointment in 2017. This year the results were severe. I have had a TEE and Cardio Cath and will now travel to Cleveland for additional pre-op testing prior to my surgery on Oct 2. I'm trying to learn as much as I can regarding Heart Valve surgery and Heart Health in general. I am anxious and nervous about the surgery and recovery and hoping for a successful outcome.
