About Me (In My Own Words)
I was 42 years old when diagnosed with aortic stenosis in 2009. After becoming symptomatic in the summer of 2010 I elected to have the Ross Procedure done that August at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Dr. Fred Meadors was my heart surgeon and Dr. David Griffin is my cardiologist. The surgery went perfect and I'm doing great. I would highly recommend the Ross Procedure to anyone who is a good candidate, i.e. right age, no other heart diseases or health problems, etc. My medical team was great and I'm living proof of the great job they did. I'm glad to back home with my wonderful family and back to a regular life of working, spending time with family and friends, and playing in my band. I'd welcome any questions or comments on my experience. Thanks, John Coleman Sr.
