About Me (In My Own Words)
For about the last two months I've been feeling tired and short of breath, espically after certain types of exertion, along with some heart racing and skiped beats. So I went to my (never been to/never needed one) primary care physician(PCP). Who diagnosed me with a murmur. October 4, 2010 was my first ever echo and the begining of a new/different chapter in my life. The next week I went back to PCP and he told me that I had moderate to severe mitral regurgitation. What a shock that was to me. Espically due to the fact that I'm an ICU nurse. I just thought my labs were a bit out of wack. Plus I have three boys, ages 6,3 and 10 mos. My wife and I have been sleep deprived for the past six years ;)I really did not see the heart murmur coming. That was the last thing on my mind. So... with the Lord, my lovely wife and numerous family members at my side, I/we start the long road.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
