About Me (In My Own Words)
Had not been feeling well for a good 6 months, very tired, short of breath with little activity and bouts of severe chest pain. My youngest daughter convinced me to get checked out. Long story short I was diagnosed with severe/critical aortic stenosis. Further testing, heart cath, revealed 2 major blockages in my coronary arteries. I had my surgery April 16th and am now recuperating at a friend's house. This has all been a shock as I have been a nurse for 45 years and am used to being the caregiver not the patient. One day at a time.
