About Me (In My Own Words)
I have had asymptomatic, severe Aortic insufficiency for 5 years and my cardiologist has shortened my time between visits from 1 year to 8 months. He says if the numbers get too high, I may need to have the valve replaced. He says repair is not an option for aortic valves. I am 70 years old and am wondering if repair might be an option, or not because of the severity and my age. I believe I am healthy and am wondering if I should get a second opinion.
