About Me (In My Own Words)
I've known about my bicuspid valve for many years and have been monitoring it with annual echocardiograms but about a year ago we started seeing that it was not working very well and was edging towards sever stenosis.
An echo done in April showed it was heavily calcified and severely stenotic so here I am looking at valve replacement.
I'm 61 years old and in seeming decent shape so the recommendation was for open heart rather than TAVR.
