About Me (In My Own Words)
I have not yet had surgery for my Thoracic Aortic Valve Aneurysm 4.5. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago (2016) and have had 3 Echo Grams to date. I currently am taking Metoprolol Tartrate, Eliquis and Amlodipine. A Merlin Heart Monitor was surgically inserted in my chest February 2020 so my heart could be monitored 24 hours for one year to determine if an Oblation Procedure would help with AFIB episodes I have had.
I am a female, 73 years old and in excellent health with the exception of my Aneurysm. I am considering surgery but am not sure what the next steps are. I am currently under the Care of Dr. John Schutz, Cardioligist and Dr. Sameer Oza, Electrophysiology at Boulder Heart in Boulder, Colorado.
