About Me (In My Own Words)
I had an AVR and Cabg x 4. I had a severe stroke in recovery in my right frontal lobe. My left side was completely paralyzed. I could not swallow. I remained at the Hospital for 6 days and then went to a rehab facility. I walked out in 2 weeks with the use of a leg brace and cane. I had been in physical therapy 3 days a week until I could not afford it since my employer fired me for not returning to work after my FML.
I am 6 months out from my stroke. I recently had a fall and injured my left arm. I am waiting for an MRI.I feel like I am going backwards and not forward in my progress. It is hard to be positive even though I know I need to be.
