About Me (In My Own Words)
I spent 6 months choosing a surgeon. My search was over once I met Dr. Robin Varghese. The time he spent with me initially was reassuring and now one month post op I applaud him and his team for his skills. I am home and now able to do most of my usual daily chores without shortness of breath,
I had aortic & mitral valve replaced as well as the repair of the tricuspid valve. I also had a bypass of one artery. The surgery took 8 hours.
Unbelievable as it might seem I had no pain. Dr, Varghese reassured me there would be little pain and he was right.
I was three days in ICU and the care was fabulous. Mount Sinai's
doctors and nurses were so attentive that I never felt apprehensive during this period.
Dr. Varghese and his team visited me several times daily, and explained everything.
I want to say how grateful I am to Dr. Varghese and to Mount Sinai.
