About Me

October 9, 2015 I found out from my doctor that I needed to see a cardiologist. This was the first time I have ever needed to see a cardiologist. My cardiologist, Dr. Phillips, examined me and said: "Not good news. You will probably have to have open heart surgery to replace your aortic heart valve." My response was "when?". As I was asymptomatic, Dr.Phillips said "difficult to know when"; however, I insisted on getting some time-frame....He said possible in 5 years." Well, here I am 3 years later facing Step 1: my first ever Heart Catheterization....scheduled for Friday Dec. 21, 2018.
