About Me (In My Own Words)
I went to my doctor to address what I thought was gallbladder attacks. Ultra sound revealed no gallstones but fatty liver. Had Heart Smart scan ran and found no build up. Changed eating habits lost 10 pounds and attacks persisted (11 total) EKG the day before, negative. Taken to emergency room on attack number 11, ER stated that I was having a heart attack. Transported via helicopter to Parkview - Cardiac Cath revealed no blockage no build up. Suspected Blood Clot. Esophageal Echocardiogram showed tumor in the Aortic valve. Papillary Fibroelastoma is what they found. No damage from attacks according to the cardiologist. He said the tumor had a flap and it would inconsistently stop blood flow simulating blockage. Aortic Valve Replacement. No past heart issues. Only 1 medication when admitted. Zoloft 50mg - Warfarin 2.5x2per day - Lovastatin 10mg for liver. I will be on Warfarin the rest of my life.
