About Me (In My Own Words)
I found out accidentally in September of 2016 that I had Rhuematic Fever as a child that severely damaged my mitral valve. The valve was replaced with a cow valve which lasted for 6.5 years. In April of 2023 that valve failed and I had a second valve replacement on May 1, 2023. In which a mechanical valve was put in. It’s been five months and I just found out that I have a severe paravalvular anterior leaks. My surgeon said I need to have another replacement next week. He wants to replace the mechanical valve with another tissue valve.
