About Me (In My Own Words)
As a healthcare professional I new that I had bicuspid Aortic valve and also knew that I need a valve surgery in future. At the age of 41, I almost fainted on day while running for a bus. I have been referred to Dr K. M. Cherian for surgery. That time He was one of the very few cardiac surgeons in the world with an experience of more than 10000 open heart surgeries. Ross procedure was done. Till date ,after more than 18 years I am doing well without any medication. Still I am serving well to works of my daily life and my profession as professor of Post Graduste Pediatric Dentistry.But lately I am developing some breathlessness with exertion, e.g. climbing stairs. Two major changes are observed 1. Aortic root enlargement of 58 mm and 2.pulnonary homograft pressure gradient is 40 mm of Hg. Both seems inviting for another surgery. God Bless.
