I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse just a few days ago due to having heart palpitations, occasional chest pain and mild moments where I have to take deep breaths. I am told by my doctor it's not life threatening and my regurgitation is very small. I'm unsure how to feel about any of this and what my next steps should be...how can I improve my issue, if at all. My doctor did say my heart looked very good overall, nothing looked bad at all. Just a small bit of regurgitation. I'm hoping to connect with people here for comfort, understanding, etc.
