Send Aaron a NoteAbout Me
I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. I am 38 and I have had it monitored my whole life. One leaflet works great and the other never developed. Over the last few years I have had a new development with my one good valve getting to thick and also my aortic root dilation. It now measures at 4.5 cm in the aortic root and I have severe regurgitation.
Cardiologist has recommended that I have a new valve and root replacement surgery. He has chosen to go with a tissue valve with the option of the TAVR in the future.
