At your young age the only choice is stainless steel. They are the longest lasting application available today according to my surgeon. Both Pig and steel valves have to be replaced eventually. The steel one simply lasts longer. I had one installed in January this year. I feel great after 8 weeks. Sure there is some pain going through chest surgery but recovery is not as big a deal as I thought it would be. Hope I helped.
