Hi Teresa, I went a pretty long time between diagnosis & surgery, too. It's a scary prospect, and you'll get through it. My best advice is to be comfortable with your surgeon & hospital, and to start planning something fun for about 3-4 months after your surgery. We planned a family reunion, and it was was nice to have something to look forward too, as well as to have something to distract me form my thoughts about surgery.
