Good luck Susan! I was a candidate for both (SAVR or TAVR) but decided to go with SAVR per my surgeon's suggestion. It's more painful but safer because it's bicuspid and the shape of the perfect circle of the prosthetic might not fit perfectly. I will have the surgery on November 27th in Northwestern, Chicago.
