Hi Pam, just checking on you! How you doing? I joined the site today, have surgery scheduled for April 9th. I'm terrified, and tried to meditate today but made the mistake of having my two Malemutes inside. They looked at me in a very mindful way, then started getting frisky. So much for that! Pets are so loving.................

Hello Pam. Great news that you are out and with your nurse friend. It was just as you had hoped I guess! Your friends and the things you organized prior to your surgery have seemingly worked out as you had hoped. You are very lucky to have such a "team" surrounding you and your care in recovery! Did you ever work out about "washing your hair!". It sounds like you stayed on top of your care, kept aware of what your body was telling you and that all has worked out as you would have wanted! I hope your "boys" are gentle with you once you are back at home as I am sure they have missed you and I have no doubt from the sounds of how you are progressing that getting them in and out of the "magic slider door "that your brother fixed will be of no problem for you. I think having out pets around is a great bonus to our healing process and I can see you taking walks with them and enjoying some fresh air. Listen to your body and do what it is telling you! Wishing you great healing days ahead! Take care.

Pam Driggs Hi Terrie, Yes, everything has worked out well. I got both of my dogs back last night. They are very gentle greyhounds and do not jump on me. I will have people helpe me walk them becasue one of them will pull if he sees another dog. I have been very lazy which is not like me but I know I need to rest!! Thanks for checking on me!!

Get a good sleep tonight. Remember your meditation. Ask questions as they pop into your head. You are strong and a survivor.
