Hello sweet heart!
I am writing for the second time in your amazing and informative journal. I am still reading everything you\'ve written and am quite impressed with the man I share my life with.
All I can say Sir...is....wow! I love the way you think. I have appreciated sharing all this quality time here at home with you...it still cracks me up that I am communicating with you on my iPad in our livingroom when you are just down the hallway in your miracle lift recliner. What a smart purchase that turned out to be! I will be the first to volunteer to do a commercial for it! A genuine healing tool.
You are such a talented and thoughtful person Mike and I love how you see the world....after this operation I have noticed how you are beginning to see this world a bit more clear...from more of a restful place....like stopping to really smell the roses. I do believe that all hard working people could be more relaxed and see a bit clearer if only they could or would stop to smell the roses. Look up from your devices people....there\'s a whole world of interesting people out there to meet and chat with face to face...oh my!
I will continue to read everything in your journal and keep up with you.
I am so thankful for that funny day in July in Rhode Island that I stopped my journey to Greenwich Village NY and attended that Ritchie Havens concert instead....so that I could be with you today cheering you up and cheering you on. I wouldn\'t miss this for anything. Keep up the healing power....you look wonderful! What a beautiful scar. Dr. Korvar is a fine Tailor...excellent and dedicated surgeon.
Love, Debby

Another aspect of using pain medication is that it helps keep the chest busting fear at bay when taking deep breaths and coughing are crucial to your survival. People who have had their chest split open (and other surgeries) have the biochemistry of pain and need not fear becoming addicted or using pain meds inappropriately.

What do you mean about the biochemistry of pain? Sounds interesting.

Mike,
I\'m glad that you\'re on the mend and able to dole out useful advice for others. Take advantage of this period of rest and recovery - and your family waiting on you - I mean taking care of you. I know that you\'re a good patient.

Mike Ziegenhagen Thank you mystery guest! Unfortunately, I can't tell who you are unless you sign the comment. Still, I'll take all the good energy I can get! Yes, I'm home again, which is great, I love it here because, well, all my stuff is here. Even better, my loving family is here and taking good care of me, although I'm spending most of the time in the land of Nod. Time for a nap....
