Lucy, Im so glad you are getting better & better, I'm sure Tios are able to breath a little better now too. I hope you will be l00% very soon. Keep up the good work Cousin, my regards to the whole family, Love, Letty
Really nice to see your updated journal. You are getting super good results. You must be fixed for sure. You must be the bell of the gym with all those older gentlemen there. Good for you. I am enjoying my rehab as well but we are about half and half. Rehab is very much a social club I think as some patients have been going for 7-8 years! Continued success. Cheryl, Ontario
Are you sleeping on your back? I found it helpful if I put two pillows behind me and I would go to sleep somewhat sitting up. It took me a while to get used to sleeping like that but eventually I was able to get a decent night's sleep. I am 9 1/2 weeks post-op and I am only just starting to sleep on my left side again. I still have some pain getting onto my left side though - I guess it's going to take more time. I read in bed each night until I was almost asleep and that also helped me settle down. Good luck Lucy. Cheryl, Ontario
Hi Lucy, Glad to hear that you got a good report at the doctor. It was a beautiful day for your walk. Soon you will be back to your old self. In no time you will be running in a marathon. Again, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. We Love You, Barbara and Dennis
Hi Lucy, Dennis and I so glad you are home. Remember each day will be a little bit better for you. Take your pills if you need them, that is what they are for, to relieve the pain. Before long you will be your self again. Please have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your family. Love, Barbara and Dennis
So great to hear you are home, safe and sound. Getting up from bed is a tough one - did the nurse show you how to use your elbow for support and then swing your legs around to touch the floor? I used a bed pillow to hang on to with dear life while doing that. In about another week you should see a marked improvement. A two inch cut? Way to go. Cheryl, Ontario

Hi Lucy, Thinking of you and knowing that your surgery is going to be successful. Remember that Dennis had bypass surgery when he was 49 and did great. Just lay back and let the doctors make you 100% again. We love you!

Katty Leal

Suerte!!
Dennis forwarded your message to me so I can keep in touch. I know you are scared, but it is amazing what can be done for you. We know two people who have had valve replacement and both are doing great. One is in her 80's and the other is in his 70's. We went to see Roger in the hospital right after his surgery and it was remarkable how well he was doing. You be strong and know that we are all keeping you in our prayers.
Adam is right, the odds are heavily in your favor that the cath will be clean. My surgeon told me that it is only a 5% chance that they find something, so keep positive and everything will be okay. Good Luck to you.
