Hi Linda and welcome. I live in Maine and will be having mitral valve surgery at the Cleveland Clinic on April 21 (Dr. Marc Gillanov). I have done extensive research on heart valve surgery, best hospitals, surgeons and those with the best outcomes which is why I\'ve chosen the Cleveland Clinic. Please refer to my journal today where I have listed two links regarding valve surgery outcomes. I am such an advocate for that hospital I think those people should pay me! lol. Seriously, it\'s been the #1 heart hospital in the country for the past 16 yrs. Dr. Gillanov specializes in mitral and aortic valves. You can look him up on their website. Good luck with everything. I know the feeling of just getting news that you need surgery.
