I am a friend of Pru Pope. She sent me this link so I could share my story with you.
Last April at the age of 88 I went through valve replacement surgery at Cape Cod Hospital. I won\'t say it was a breeze but much better than I had thought. Everyone involved was wonderful!! Especially the nurses in the cardiac intensive care unit. They are true angels. :-)
My best advice is to enjoy the rest you will get in the hospital....once you get to rehab...they will keep you on your toes!!

There are so many I know with coughs and stuffy noses and a dozen more or so who would need a bushel barrel of vitamin K to hold the flow from the carless brush of a brier or nettle. And true there be some bonnie lassies at C-lab but to change places not knowing I wouldn't dare. So I give thank's for your heart felt prayers while hoping all hopes that you have the almighty's ear.

My Dad did not get clearance from a dentist. Hence his procedure has been put on hold.

paper work to be done on 1/3/2013 the next day will be the procedure.
I have faith in the doctors and am ready as i can be. Recently had test and almost no blockage imaged ( there was a minor narrowing somewhere ) therefore they will attempt my replacement in the hybrid operating-room rather than the cath center...
they intend to use the femoral artery as a passageway.
Michelle when you get a chance let me know how i can view your post. I do not live on the computer but do check in from time to time AND it is nice to speak with someone that is traveling in the same direction.
