Dear Larry,
I am a friend of Pru Pope. She sent me this link so I could share my story with you.
Last April at the age of 88 I went through valve replacement surgery at Cape Cod Hospital. I won\'t say it was a breeze but much better than I had thought. Everyone involved was wonderful!! Especially the nurses in the cardiac intensive care unit. They are true angels. :-)
My best advice is to enjoy the rest you will get in the hospital....once you get to rehab...they will keep you on your toes!!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Sincerely, Barbara Marsh

Larry, I have given your dad a ride several times to MCL meetings and lunches - he is a great guy and we miss him. I know how much he is looking forward to this procedure. Please give him my best - our thoughts and prayers are with him. He is a tough Marine, and he will be back on his feet soon!
