Hello Kim and Frank!
Glad you are doing so well, Frank! What a beautiful wedding ... photos are lovely and your daughter is stunning. You must both be so proud. Frank ... we didn't know you could cut a rug!!!
Love and best wishes from Ray & Lisa
Frank and Kim, So glad to hear you are doing so well. By the time you get back to Bombardier you will be fit as a fiddle. THAT IS GOOD NURSING CARE. Always look forward to the updates and glad to hear all the prayers from everyone worked.
Great news on all fronts, Kim. Before we start down this path, we (I) couldn't imagine what modern medicine can do. God has given all our medical providers such skill. I'm only 3 weeks post op and know what you mean about the seat belt across the chest. I put my heart pillow between, haven't had any strange looks from anyone driving along side. Guess it would have to be a trucker up high, looking down, but who cares. Hope rehab goes well, keep us posted.
Glad to hear you came through your surgery so well and that your recovery is progressing nicely.
I had a mitral valve replacement in Jan. of this year (mechanical St. Jude valve), and Yes--I definitely hear it clicking sometimes. The doctors say it's perfectly normal. The only time I hear the valve ticking is in a lying down position with my head at certain angles.
My 15 yr. old granddaughter says she can sometimes hear me clicking from several feet away, but her hearing is better than most!
The clicking doesn't ever bother me,if anything it's reassuring to know that everything is working like it's supposed to.
That was certainly a good report on your progress. I had a repair but definitely had some periods of my heart pounding to beat the band and I did mention it to the doctor but was told it was just a transitional stage and not to worry. It took a few months but now I can't say I feel that anymore. I remember others reporting much the same thing whether or not they had a repair or a replacement. I know you would like to hear from a replacement but I wanted to say hi and weigh in just in case it helped a little.
It is great to hear you are doing well!!!! and walking almost a mile!!! Keep up the good work! Sorry, you haven't heard from me this week, but you were in my thoughts every day. It has been crazy here at work!!! We had 2 Brown Bag Luncheons this week! Take care and have a good weekend.
Glad to hear you are home and doing well. Yeah it doesn't take a lot to tire you out now, but wait a few weeks and you will see a huge improvment. In fact if all goes well and you stick to it you will probably be better than you were before the surgery. Just one bit of advice. Don't overdo the exercise yet. Your body still needs to heal. Glad all went well! Go Pitt!! Ben H.
Good morning Frank & Kim
Great idea for posting the walks you take. Even better that getting a gold star on our papers when we were young. When are you getting out of there? Sounds like all is well, ticker is ticking steadily and am sure you're ready to get to the comfort of your home. Keep healing.
Hi Frank & Kim, Pat Smith gave me this website so I can get updated. I thought that maybe you were on vacation again as you were not at you desk. So glad everything is going well and lookforward to seeing your smiling face again soon. Keep up the good work and keep walking even if it hurts.
Hi Frank & Kim,
Thanks for keeping us updated about Frank's condition as he is now in our daily prayer journal. My wife and I did not even know that this was the plan to have this procedure now as we were in the Bahamas for the last 16 days vacationing. That is where you 2 need to go to fully recuperate! We'll be thinking and praying for your strength each day Frank as you recover. Hope to see you soon.

Hi Frank, Sounds like you are progressing extremely well!! We will continue to keep you in our prayers. I am reading all of your and Kim's updates to Dave and Frank in order to keep them "up to date".. Everyone says "Hello" and We all wish you well.
Hi Frank, So glad to hear you are doing well. You are proof that God does answer prayer! Keep up the determination to get better. Postive thinking works!
Sorry, I forgot to put my name on the message that I sent you on last Friday.
You're ahead of where I was when I had my operation. They push the walking very quickly. I had to wait to get the drain tubes out unil day five. Horrible sleeping with them in. So you are lucky. Yeah they will be around most every hour of the night. Keep up the good work.
Great to hear of your stellar progress, and that you are able to post on the journal yourself. Kim has been beyond diligent with her updates and is very much appreciated. So, let's start planning another guitar night!
