It is disappointing when surgery is postponed . There is usually a very importance reason why it happens and often someone gravely poorly needs the theatre slot and the heart surgeon .
My emergency surgery was on put on hold until the anaesthetists recovered from covid , that was over two years ago now . It was a worrying time but I did get the surgery I needed and it was a huge relief .
