We are so thankful for your great progress! Paul and I have been marshalling the prayers of our congregation for your speedy recovery.
Last time I had ICU and nursing staff to thank, ordered pizza for the staff on the floor. Everyone was grateful for the treat. Chocolate rocks, too!

Love this journal concept- support from near and far. I would encourage you to re-read your own post from July 24, 2011, upon recovery from your first round of surgery. Great advice! What you may not know, was that I tried to dance myself on that day, my birthday, and 43 days after my minimally invasive anterior right hip replacement! I've been dancing through life from then til now, and I wish you the same.:)

Jim, I had no idea. My heart and prayers go out to you. You have always been a strong, veral man and that will not change with this hurdle. I know being sick myself, it can be quite debilitating and emotional to the point of depression. I'm here if you ever need anything. Please know I'm thinking of you always and would do anything to help. Love you!

Don't worry bout a thing. God doesn't need us in his lineup right now. I was tested for playing in his lineup last year with colon cancer. All gone, not in the call up sheet right now. Since you are a better hitter and fielder than me, that should give you good spirits!! I will keep you posted on any call ups!! Good luck, our prayers are with you!!!
Jim I'm sorry to hear that you are still having some difficulty with your recovery. You will continue to be in my prayers. Please be sure to follow Doctor's Orders!!! We love you and we are here for you. You continue to be my source of strength for my surgery in October. Your courage is amazing. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Ellen Beckwith
Jim I'm so happy to hear that you are at your six month point and doing GREAT!!! Reading your updates has helped me through some issues with my left shoulder since my fall in February. Your strength and advice has given me the strength to face my last surgery and my upcoming surgery this Fall. You have been an inspiration. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday!!!
just googled panama & your name and I stumbled upon this :-), aramis mentioned your trip, beautiful area, etc... ...hope all is well and healthy and your recovery is in full swing..all the best, dalibor @ krog :-)
Hey, little bro, I'm glad you journalled again. I think articulating your feelings disempowers the depressive emotions. You drive yourself hard, perhaps too hard, but you have admirable strength that is an inspiration. I love you much. Sharon
Hi Jim - Just read your most recent update. God is good, but God also helps those who help themselves. Your have shouldered an extreme lifetime event and shown much fortitude! I'm thankful that you decided to write your journal, not only for yourself, but for the benefit of others.
What a heartfelt story.
Now we have to see you through the hip surgery, which I hope will be a piece of cake after what you have been thru. I'm praying for you.
I can not believe that I have not seen this until today where the heck have I been?? Oh thats right in school finishing my Thesis. Well I am done and graduated, elated to see this story and honored to be able to be a part of your recovery, and part of you life in your time of need. God Bless you and might I add you were the perfect patient. Marci
Hi Jim - So glad you have updated your Journal! Altho I saw you at Mitch's B/D party, we didn't have much time to talk. You are certainly looking healthy and robust after only 3 months post-opt. I was thankful to read that you are contributing the details of your trials, tribulations and success to the community. I know if I were facing such a surgery, it would give me much comfort.
