I had a very successful aortic valve replacement last May 23 and my recovery was so speedy and without any incidence. I would like to be an encourager to those heading into or recently out of OHS and I saw where you volunteer at a hospital visiting OHS patients. I’d love to do that and wondered how you went about becoming a volunteer. I remember how scared I was before the surgery and waking up with the thought of “will I ever get better”. So anything I could do to help others, that would be awesome. Thanks

Clayton Mcarthur Mine was the aortic valve and I never felt real bad, but when they showed me a picture of the thing after surgery i was amazed. The heart is a powerful muscle :)

You have got this!! You work so hard for everything you want in life, such as the BoneFrog, Spartan races, Hurricane Heat. Just think of this as one your obstacles! You train hard before, mind, and body, then in the end when its over you feel like a different person!! This may be different but you are the strongest person I know and you will get through this just like everything else you have worked so hard for!!
