Mr. Vickey and family, I am so pleased to learn of the successful surgery. I anticipate that I will be a patient for an aortic root aneurysm repair at the Cleveland Clinic in the near future so I’m very glad to know of the great care being received! What are Cleveland Clinic’s guidelines concerning family members during the patient’s time in ICU and is it permissible to stay with the patient in the step down unit? I’ll be following your progress and wish you a speedy recovery! Ken

Phyllis Petersen I had 3 members of my family with me in ICU, but they weren't there overnight, so not sure of the guidelines. The patients' rooms have a long kinda couch and family members can stay with you. My sister preferred to be at the hotel, but picked me up my favorite tea in the cafeteria every morning.
