I am a fellow survivor of Hodgkin's Disease and received large doses of radiation to my neck and chest. It was only much later that my doctors told me of the late effects of radiation, including the fact that I would probably require valve replacements at some point in the future. 

I had TAVR procedure in June 2020 to replace my stenotic aortic valve, had severe regurgitation. I also have tricuspid regurgitation, but my mitral valve is worse with stenosis, regurgitation and severe mitral annular calcification. I have heart failure and am high risk for OHS, so am looking into clinical trials for either TMVR or a minimally invasive procedure to replace valve with the tendyne valve. I have pulmonary hypertension and may not qualify for the trial because of high pressure in my lungs.

How did your TMVR go? Have you had success with it? I don't think I know anyone who has had the TMVR, so was just interested abt it from someone that has been through it.

Wishing you the best of luck Dana with your surgery on Tuesday. I am currently a Cedar patient as well with Drs. Moriguchi and Chikwe and feel very confident  in Cedar-Senai. They have excellent results!!!
