Hello Cleve, David Adams and his team were wonderful. NYC has a 30 day minimum stay for Airbnb and short term rentals. We "bit the bullet" and rented a 30 day apartment on the upper west side and arrived a week before surgery to see family, a Broadway show, and go to museums even though we only stayed 3 weeks. My husband walked across the park to Mount Sinai everyday. If you can swing it, I recommend this option so you have space to relax after discharge and the convenience of a kitchen, etc. It was also reassuring to know we had those extra lodging days available in case of medical complications. You might want to ask “Grace Mason”, a HVS heart warrior, where she stayed for her Mt Sinai surgery. I stayed at a hotel and would not recommend that approach. There is a search function to find Grace on HVS. Godspeed.
