Hi Aubrey. Just joined today and was looking for comments on Dr heiminshon ( not sure I spelled correctly). Looking for comforting comments to decrease my very high anxiety. You were the only person I saw that he was your surgeon. What did you think of him? wondering if I should get a second opinion or go somewhere like cleveland Clinic. I live just south of Indy. thank you

Aw. Bree. Aw. Bree. Aw. Bree. AW to the power of Bree. A beacon of hope in a sea of darkness. The corner piece in this puzzle of life. The champagne in a world full of wine. The Mr. Toad on this wild ride. The only person who can finally defeat Darth Vader and restore the Empire to it's former glory. Our hope. Our dream. Our salvation.

Aubrey Jones Jr Keep the habits they teach you and if they did not do the weights and resistance for upper body and the core, look into a gym or online for the routines. Again, start light and go slow. I am using this as a time to increase the weekly exercise time and will try to maintain it. Keep up the good progress.

Hi Aubrey,
I agree with Jim, you are the Recovery King! Thank you for your detailed notes, I find them very helpful. Good luck to your sister, she has an amazing team taking care of her.
Your advice to slow down recovery expectations was the best advice I received..after over doing it with guests the first week I realized I had to dial it back. I go at my own speed now- I walk 4-5 miles a day without problems and it's great. I will continue to do this thru December.I do not feel amazing however...it takes me a while to get moving in the morning and my chest is sore every day still. I take Tylenol ..My recovery at 4.5 weeks is slower now...no big leaps. Continue to inspire!

Aubrey Jones Jr I responded to Jim below similarly. I never felt bad, just was working way too hard and never knew it. The recovery advancement does slow down but it keeps getting better. If you have the choice for rehab, take it and insure they do the upper body weights and the core exercises at the right times. This was about weeks eight and twelve for me. The stamina comes from walking and the seated bike. The strength from the weights and the resistance bands for the core. I am using this for the time to increase he exercise time every week to three to six hours per week. Trying to make this my new regular routine for health and maintaining weight. Keep it slow and steady and keep healing.
