hi! na diagnosed ako na may aortic valve disease recently but i know that i have a congenital heart disease, 3 weeks ago nag pachek up ako kasi nahilo ako at nahighblood my cardio required me to undergo in a aortic valve replacement sa PHC, the surgery is costly! ranging 400 to 500k. mechanical valve ang gagamitin.My family is planning to do the procedure this coming april. Can i ask what are the risks of ,and how does it feel after the surgery..and what type of medication will be done after the surgery, I\'m only 22 years Old.. thanks..Do you have account on facebook so i can add you?

Hi Andro I wonder if the new Coumadin is made by a different drug company as you mentioned the shape of the pill changed. I guess it could be possible that the effectiveness is not the same. Could you get back on the earlier pill you were taking? I\'ve been taking Coumadin for 15 years and you are right about diet affecting it. Hopefully in 2 weeks it will be at the level desired. Fran

Hi Andro, it\'s me, Letty Paz, glad I was able to search your journal, I just key in Andro, and I got you! Bago lang pala tayong pareho dito sa journal. Sa kaka research ko tungkol sa heart valve surgery, nakita ko itong website ni Adam Pick at umorder pa ako ng book nya,it\'s really very helpful and very encouraging. nabawasan ang fears ko sa surgery, although I must admit may takot pa rin, but I know it\'s just normal. I just submit everything to the LORD, whatever his will, but I\'m positive I can make it. By the way, sa UST ako, my cardio is Milagros Yamamoto and my surgeon is her husband Jose Yamamoto. San ginawa surgery mo? I\'m really happy to hear the success stories of former heart valve patients who have normal lives after the surgery. Nice to meet you on net, hope you keep in touch. Hi Andro, Welcome. I debated a long time about which type of new mitral valve I would select and decided on a tissue valve. My surgery was on 7/20/10. Nice to see how well you are doing 3 years out. Kellie

Hello Andro Seems you are doing well for 3 years and will continue to do so. I am also on coumadin and keep my INR between 2-3. My surgery was in March and am doing well and continue to do so for many years. Your daughter is so cute. Fran
