Alex,
I would be happy to help answer questions. I have had #2 heart surgeries. First time was a mitral valve repair which failed within 5 years and then a replacement. I choose a mechanical valve over tissue as I was only 42 at the time. My father just had a aortic valve replaced and he went with tissue as he was 74. I have lots of info to share if you like. As I reached out to many folks on this site for help before my #2 surgeries!

Alex Pinales Hi Kevin. Thanks for reaching out. Been a journey for sure that was probably 3-4 years in the making. They did a stress test about a month ago and found that my regurgitation got worse. Then fast forward to now and meeting with surgeon who says i need replacement. Might need a bypass but did an MRI yesterday to see if it is necessary. Cant say i feel bad and do crossfit twice a week. How are you doing with the mechanical? It is something that i need to decide before i meet with surgeon in two weeks. I am going back and forth when on deciding tissue vs mechanical.
Alex Pinales Hry Kevin how the mechanical valve working out for you. Any idea why the reapir failed?
