Alan Kurkulonis Bill, it has been a very long time. Heart problem was related to something I have had most of my life. I was very symptomatic, so it was time to get valve repaired. I am doing better, but it is a long road to recovery. Hope all is well with you. Attending Cardiac Rehab 3x per week, to get back in shape. Having some issues with Migraines, which are being investigated by doctors. Hopefully they will be going away soon.

I am glad to hear you had your surgery & it went well. It's amazing what the doctors can do nowadays. I had mine on 5/15 & am really relieved that everything went smoothly. The 1st couple of days were rough, but once I could walk, everything got better. You will be there soon. Good luck.

Wishing you well on Sunday. My surgery is next Thursday. I didn't have date changes but I ended up getting a date that within 3 weeks so I kind of understand about the rush to make preparations. I'm trying to get stuff done and prepared but am overwhelmed by work and home...starting to adopt the attitude if it gets done, it gets done; if not, then someone else will have to take care of it or it won't get done. Prioritizing helps - but not much.

For some of us the waiting for surgery is stressful and can cause headaches. When meds and exercise didn't help I found a tape of calming one's self before surgery that despite my serious reservations did help and I used as needed up to and including ride to hospital.
Time until surgery will both drag and fly.
This site can answer lots of questions and like they say "knowledge is power".
You will do great.
