This website has been invaluable in information. It's also great to know I am not alone in this. Last month my cousin had her bicuspid aortic value replace by a TAVR, which was a surprise to me. It also made me realize my aortic value issue may be inherited. Like my wet macular degeneration in my left eye. Families are so wonderful, but I could have skipped them sharing these two issues, HAHA

Danielle Elizabeth If it helps set your mind at ease I am the only one in my family with a CHD. Also my bicuspid aortic valve had a very noticeable murmur - so much so that since I was 12, students would ask to listen during my ecg check-up. I’d usually have about 8 med students listen and they could all hear it. Just let your primary know to see if there is a murmur as the first step if it’s truly concerning
