I'm scheduled for OHS in October. I wanted the TAVR procedure but due to the FDA rules I didn't qualify. TOO HEALTHY!! Well I hear that the FDA approved it for everyone on August 16! Thoughts??

Wishing you peace while making your decision. Get several opinions from different groups of docs.

Civita Fahey My surgeon told me that people with bicuspid valve would not be a candidate first time around for TAVR since the valve is not round by nature. Therefore, I had an AVR and hopefully when it needs to be replaced, TAVR will be the option.
