Really need help. I have been in and out of the hospital at least 5 times with chest pains. Each time I go the hospital runs the full spectrum of tests, blood, chest x-rays, cat scans, check on pace maker etc.. Each time I am told all new equipment is running fine. side note: Full valve replacement with mechanical valve. during surgery completely bleed out, electrical system was "killed" and had to get pacemaker. Very nice nurse informed me that she believes that anxiety could be the cause of pain if all tests com back good. I need help from patients that had same procedure and can help me with these issues. just want to talk to someone who went through this and how they are doing.

Marie Myers Have you had a gastrointestinal workup to see if reflux pain is the culprit? If you are not on a med like famotidine 20 mg once a day already, might be worth a 2 week try of it to see if it stops the episodes. A GI doctor consult may be a good thing for you to do, if you have not done so already. Hope you find the answer soon!
Philip Boyd Thank you Marie. I will check into getting this done.

Kimberly Eisenhut Hello,
I agree with Marie. I have not had surgery for my moderate to severe tricuspid regurgitation and aortic aneurism yet, but have had similar chest pain and it was related to reflux and changed my diet to avoid certain foods, drinks that I found agrevated it. Also have anxiety, and though I would keep looking for answers to the pain for sure, anxiety does have some similar symptoms as well. Its a tricky thing sometimes, trying to pinpoint what pain is from what.
Don't give up, keep trying to find the answer and know you are so strong just because of what you've already beem through.
Keep us posted, and prayers, for your troubles to have answers and subside.

Philip Boyd Good morning Kimberly. I see my cardiologist in a few weeks. I will bring up the re-flux issue when I see her. Trying to deal with the anxiety: breathing, walking & meditation are helping somewhat. I am not a fan of meds. even though I am on a blood thinner for life. Thank you for the kinds words. Best of luck when you have your procedure
