I am wondering if anyone has had a right sided thoracotomy to replace their aorta valve and repair their mitral valve? Was it computer assisted? Who was the surgeon?
J Alexander Lassally Hi Nancy - Saw your post and wanted to chime in. I do not have a specific answer here, but likely some surgeons would do this robotic and some with just instruments via the right side.
Any time you are doing a combo through right side, you'll really want to check on surgeon volumes of procedures which are more nuanced, as this is. And, the amount of time "On pump" versus sternotomy. I am not sure how viable an aorta is via thoracotomy.
