I experienced a small stroke over Thanksgiving which changed the course of my life. Instead of spending Christmas with family I'm planning on making new friends at the hospital.
Angiogram on Tuesday 12/13 hoping to have valve replacement 12/16. Nervous about going under the knife. I am 63 & the only time that I have spent time in a hospital room was in support family or friends. I am looking forward to the support of the folks on this site, your stories are a blessing to me...

Robert Osmachenko Good meeting you. I just had a short stint in the hospital and it brought back all of the memories from 2.5 years ago. It is your job to heal but "watch the store" as well. Keep an eye on what they're doing to you and ask questions. Get your house set up to accommodate your healing ie: good recliner and pain meds that work. Take your wife to all appt. as she will be your valued second opinion.
A good nutritional focus pays dividends. Peace be with you.
