I forgot how to write in my journal since it has been a while and I just left a message where any one can leave one. MY aortic valve replacement went well. I spent 8 days in the hospital.My sister was supposed to keep everyone updated but through the intensity of the heart surgery we all forgot! Oh well. The whole experience of heart surgery was very intense for me as well as my family which was my support group. I am scheduled to start cardiac rehab on Tuesday, two weeks after surgery and am now thinking that it might be too soon eventhough the rehab people encouraged me to start right away. I am still taking pain killers for heavens sake! I might call and reschedule. I don't know if I can handle it.I will call on Monday and talk to them. Cecilia

It's countdown time to my surgery. Only ywo more days then it will be time. My hussband and I went in for pre op yesterday.It was a bit overwhelming seeing patients laying or sitting on hospital beds waiting for surgery.They said that they were also going to do a TEE so I will have to watch the video on this website to see how it is done.
