TriClip dilemma. Does anyone here have experience with Triclip? I am debating having T-TEER Triclip for Tricuspid valve done, doubt if benefits outweigh the risks of complications. do you see T- TEER Triclip not worth the risk or not? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

Kimberly Eisenhut I also have tricuspid valve regurgitation moderate to severe. What were the criteria for you getting surgery? I am still being told to wait and watch. I dont know much about triclip, but do know Northwestern in Chicago, Dr. MCcarthy was part of the study years ago. I did not qualify for study in 2017. Please stay in touch, as I am very interested in how you are doing and have not met anyone with primary Tricuspid here or anywhere else. Look forward to following anything you have to offer or anything you find out. My Dr is Dr Rigolin with Northwestern in Chicago, as I live in the Northwest suburbs about 2 hours from the city.

Alina Lia Hi Kim, I have severe TR and am debating having Triclip interventional procedure due to risks. I am in NYC. Looking to hear from someone who had it done or consulted about it. Do you know of any other patient forums/online chats that discuss heart valve procedures experiences since nobody else responded to me here. As far as your situation they are going to do periodic TTEs and only if it gets severe level offer you Triclip or Evoque. Thanks.

Kimberly Eisenhut O.K., thank you. I am sorry, but I do not know of any other forums that address tricuspid. I do know you may want to reach out to Dr McCarthy at Northwesternm, as he did a few studies and wrote some publications about it. I'd also go to the "PubMed" National Library of Medecine if you can to see actual studies ans outcomes. You can also contact Adam Pick directly here and ask that he contact you to better help with directing you to the best care. He has many contacts and will be the person I call when I am told it is time for me.

Alina Lia Thanks, Kim. My thoughts re: your situation. make sure it is mod-severe and not severe ( i was told the same but in reality it is severe) and even if mod to severe the sooner you do the clip the better-all studies tell you. I just have to figure out regarding risks vs benefits. studies show better picture than real world.

Kimberly Eisenhut Did you get a second opinion or how did you find out? I also heard the same about not waiting too long. I have an appointment downtown with my cardiologist at Northwestern on Tuesday. I have asked her may times point blank, but she says she reads my echo results herself and I have been stable for the past 5 years. I have a 19 year old son and am a single mom. It terrifies me that I may not be here for him as well as my older two kids and granddaughter. I hope to keep in touch with you and maybe if there is a way we could contact each other outside of this platform we could talk to each other better. I do not usually share my email on social media, but am willing to if you are. Not sure if we have a way to send it without everyone w=seeing it. Maybe I can ask Adam. Thinking of you today and hope to get to know you better :) I am trying so hard to be positive and wish you the same. We can get through this I have read a lot of studies and the outlooks for 1,3,5 years after much less getting through the surgery are not nearly as good as for primary Mitral and other valves. I do not understand exactly why, as they regularly add the tricuspid when repair/replacing other valves and the outcomes seem to be the same regardless. More questions for my Dr. I will also be making an appointment with one of the surgeons at Northwestern again to have them take a look at my tests and be able to ask some more questions. I did find a Dr Singer on social media that has done tricuspid and actually has a video of one of his patients that came to him because other surgeon he spoke to said it was not time. He is doing great. I jst cannot go outside of my state because of my insurance. I am grateful I can at least go to Northwestern Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. Who is your Dr and where do you go?
