My valve story. I began having afib several years ago, progressively worse. Also had moderate MVP. Did one ablation in 2019 (cryo) and another in 2021 (RF). The afib is resolved it appears and procedures were really quite painless. MVP showed up this year on a tracheal echo (TEE) as producing severe MR. Confirmed on a later echo. But a later echo stress showed it as mild/moderate. Conflicting signals. I had 2 weeks shortness of breath and thumping heart after second ablation. I was sure it was because of severe MR. And then, after two weeks, symptoms disappeared. My pulse is 60bpm now (whereas pre ablation #2 it was consistent 45). Don't know what to make of it all.
