4th of July weekend, I had difficulty breathing while walking. On 7/5, I went to Urgent Care, which quickly sent me to ER because my little benign heart murmur decided it wanted attention - not benign any more. I was misdiagnosed at ER (pneumonia) but made an appointment with my Internal Medicine doc - Dr. Ray Fernandez. He immediately got the ball rolling and sent me to Dr. Barekatain at Caring Cardiology. Within 6 weeks, I was in surgery and now, 3 weeks out, I'm feeling great!
