About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi Adam,
Briefly, my name is Tim Gase and I'm 72 years old. In the summer of 2022 I was diagnosed with Aortic Regurgitation and had Aortic valve repair in Aug of 2022. An operation, I was often told, is although not rare, not often widely performed. So it was nice to find the right place at the right time for the right outcome. When I first found out I needed surgery I started doing a ton of research, most of which was via your YouTube videos. Long story short, my search brought me to the Haart Annuloplasty web site and consequently, to Dr. Hasan Rastegar at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Thanks to your help, I was fortunate enough to find the technology AND the surgical expert for this technology in Boston. So this email is a "heart felt" thank you! Without your help, I might never have found this great surgeon and this technology. So thanks so much for your web site, all the relevant videos, doctors, explanations and everything else that made my open heart surgery, if not easier, at least less scary. Thank you again for your help and assistance (albeit unknown and remote) for pointing me in the right direction.

PS: Is there any data or advice on post surgical activities such as weight training? I've been weight training forever, it seems, and would like to ramp up again. Although, at 72, I'm aware that past accomplishments may have to be re-evaluated somewhat, but it keeps me motivated.
