About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Stenosis at the age of 7, but it was a congenital issue that was not caught till then. I am now 27 years old, the valve had narrowed and was only 40% open. Underwent open heart surgery to repair the valve and input a ring into the valve to hold it open on May 8, 2014.
