I've always had a heart mumor and docs never were concerned. In 2011 went for unrelated dr. Visit and she said I have heart mumur. I said I've always had one and she said that this was very loud and need to get it checked out. One month later I was told about my BAV. Have been monitoring it with echo's annually since. Somewhat disturbing is the fact an echocardiogram that was done in 2010 for something totally unrelated and in the report to my dr. It clearly states that patient (me) has a probable BAV. but I was never told about it. Always get copies of test reports and read them youself!
