About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed about five years ago with a bicuspid aortic valve that had created an Aneurysm in my aortic root. In April this year, at 40 years old, I had surgery to replace my valve and repair the aneurysm. I had a On-X mechanical valve replacement on 4/23/19 and now five weeks later I am doing very well. I started cardiac rehab last week and looking forward to continuing to improve my stamina and returning to work in June.
