About Me (In My Own Words)
My journey began when I was 21/2 & diagnosed with Hodgkins & treated with radiation from my neck to the waist. At a typical physical as most can relate in Sept of 2010 my family Dr heard a murmur and questions followed! At the time I was 42 and terrified. My Dr said dont put off the echo. The day of my echo the imaging person left the room to get my Dr. whom I didnt have an appt with. about a 1/2 hr later my Dr came in the room & said you have Severe Aortic Insufficiency. AVRreplacement & approaching my 3 year anniversary in November, it's surreal. I am grateful to have found this website because I still find the need to relate to others who have gone through the same. Some days I'm in a good place & others not so good. The body issues remain & I contribute that to being single & truly believe that best friend/mate makes things a little in my case a lot better! I'm trying to get back to dating ugh!
