Hi all! I'm 64 and have been diagnosed with severe mitral regurgitation. My heart issue was detected by an acupuncturist. He felt my wrists and looked in my eyes and told me that my heart was not well and that I needed to go to a cardiologist right away. (I had not been feeling well, fatigue, SOB, but ignored the symptoms). Echo and TEE confirmed severe mitral regurgitation. I will be having a sternotomy due to a previous lung surgery which prevents the surgeon from doing minimally invasive. I am scared but staying plugged into this site to learn and get encouragement. Thanks to you all.
